SEARCHING FOR A DONOR WITH OUTREACH HEALTH SERVICES

Outreach Health Services is a Canadian distributor for the U.S.-based Xytex sperm bank and for other international sperm banks. Donor units available for use in Canada have been processed according to Health Canada regulations.

Please use the website www.creatingcanadianfamilies.ca and not www.xytex.com, which is for clients in the United States only.

Step 1: On the website www.creatingcanadianfamilies.ca, click “Selecting a donor.” You can then select a donor from one of four catalogues: European Sperm Bank, Seattle Sperm Bank, Xytex Corporation, or Fairfax/Cryobank.

 

Step 2: You can then select specific characteristics to generate a list containing only donors that match your requested traits. However, remember that the more specific your search criteria, the fewer donors will be available.

Certain donors have agreed to participate in the Open-identity program, which allows a child conceived with donor sperm, once he/she turns 18, to potentially contact with the donor through the sperm bank. Units from these donors are more expensive. Donors who have agreed to participate in this program are marked “YES” in the “ID” column in the donor list. If you decide to use a donor from the Open-identity program, you will have to sign a consent form issued by the sperm bank.

CAN-AM Cryoservices is a Canadian distributor for the U.S.-based Xytex sperm bank and for other international sperm banks. Donor units available for use in Canada have been processed according to Health Canada regulations.

 

Step 1: On the website www.canamcryo.com, click “Donor Catalogues.”

 

Step 2: You can then select a donor from one of three catalogues: Fairfax Cryobank and Cryogenic Laboratories, Xytex International Sperm Bank, or Northwest Cryobank.

 

Step 3: You can select specific characteristics to generate a list containing only donors that match your requested traits. However, remember that the more specific your search criteria, the fewer donors will be available

 

Certain donors have agreed to participate in the ID Options program, which allows a child conceived with donor sperm, once he/she turns 18, to potentially contact with the donor through the sperm bank. Units from these donors are more expensive. Donors who have agreed to participate in this program are marked “FX Doctorate ID Options” or “Fairfax ID Options.” If you decide to use a donor from the ID Options program, you will have to sign a consent form issued by the sperm bank.

Repromed donor sperm bank is a Canadian distributor for the U.S.-based Xytex sperm bank and for other international sperm banks. Donor units available for use in Canada have been processed according to Health Canada regulations.

 

Step 1: On the website www.repromed.com/sperm_bank, click “Donor Semen Specimens.”

 

Step 2: You can select specific characteristics to generate a list containing only donors that match your requested traits. However, remember that the more specific your search criteria, the fewer donors will be available.

 

Certain donors have agreed to participate in the ID Options – Open ID program, which allows a child conceived with donor sperm, once he/she turns 18, to potentially contact with the donor through the sperm bank.
