The statistics shown below are to help give you an indication of the chance of achieving a pregnancy. However, as with all statistics like these it is important to understand that there are many factors which may influence your personal chances of success.

Statistics such as those shown below are often presented by clinics in many different ways. They can sometimes be difficult to understand and can therefore become misleading. For example, factors such as the age and type of patients that a clinic will accept for treatment as well as the number of embryos which are transferred will have an influence on the final results and may not be evident from the statistics.

The implantation rate graph shown below indicates that each embryo that we transfer has a very high chance of implanting; therefore we can replace fewer embryos (on average 2 embryos per transfer) and still obtain the excellent pregnancy results shown in the second table. This means that at OVO Clinic we are committed to achieving high pregnancy rates whilst ensuring that the high order multiple rates are extremely low. This is important since high order multiple pregnancies are less likely to achieve healthy babies than singleton pregnancies.

Natural cycle IVF

The benefits of IVFn are discussed elsewhere on our webpage, in summary they are practically no risk of multiple pregnancy, less invasive and costly medication, and a cheaper cost. In IVFn it is important to understand that there will not always be an embryo to transfer. This is why we have a policy of reimbursement in the IVFn program to compensate for this fact. However, transfers are performed in over 60% of cycles started, and these patients have an ongoing pregnancy rate of 24%.

Egg Donation program

Using donors who may be found by the patients themselves, or present to the clinic offering to help; we have a very successful egg donation program. For 2005, the ongoing pregnancy rate per cycle of egg donation started was 70%.
