Simon Phillips, Embriologist
Simon Phillips graduated from Plymouth University in England in 1992. He completed his training at the Hallam Medical Centre, professor Robert Edwards’s laboratory in London.
After going through training in every aspect of embryology, he was granted a license that is required to perform cytoplasmic injections in the United Kingdom. He has conducted more than 500 such injections in his practice.
His medical career then took him to Montreal in 1997, where he was the senior embryologist at the McGill Reproduction Centre. His extensive experience in the field of embriology includes in vitro maturation, ovarian crypreservation, surgical research on spermatozoids, laser-assisted hatching and embryonic biopsy.
Simon is a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Association of Clinical Embryologists. He is currently a member of the staff of specialists as embryologist and head of the OVO Fertility Clinic laboratory.
