Louise Lapensée, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Louise Lapensée has been a gynaecologist-obstetrician at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (Saint-Luc Hospital) since 1996. Along with her clinical work, he also has a career in teaching, which she has done at the Université de Montréal since 1996, an institution at which she is an assistant professor in the department of obstetrics-gynaecology. In 1994, Dr. Lapensée did her specialization in reproduction and infertility endocrinology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Boston’s Harvard University.
She spent a second year of specialization conducting research in the field of reproduction at the Université de Montréal, where she did her residency in obstetrics-gynaecology from 1989-94. She earned a degree in medicine at Université Laval in 1989, and prior to that she studied biology at the University of Ottawa and Université de Montréal.
She has been extremely active in the field of obstetrics-gynaecology research since 1997. She has had several articles published in specialized magazines, was the co-author of book chapters and has written some 30 analytical summaries. She has also given about 50 conferences in Canada and the United States.
