François Bissonnette, MD, FRCSC

Dr François Bissonnette is the Director of the Reproductive endocrinology and infertility program and head of the division of fertility, Saint-Luc hospital, University of Montreal. He is an associate professor with the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the university of Montreal and recipient of the Van Campenhout Award for teaching excellence.

He received his medical degree from the University of Montreal in 1980 where he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and obtained the certificate from the Royal College of Canada in 1985. He did a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in Louisville Kentucky from 1985 till 1987.

He has authored and co-authored numerous publications, directed numerous research projects and mentors post-graduate students. A member of a number of professional associations, he has been President of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Committee of The Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Quebec (AOGQ) since 1995. He is the actual regional director for Ontario/Quebec at the Canadian Fertility Society.
